Share
Victoria, BC, is surrounded by a wealth of incredible mountain biking, with terrain that ranges from rugged tech to machine-built flow. Two standout riding zones define the region's scene—Hartland (aka The Dump) and Jordie Lunn Bike Park, each with their unique flavour and charm.
Hartland (aka "The Dump")
Located just north of Victoria next to the regional landfill (hence the nickname), Hartland Mountain Bike Park is the largest and most diverse riding area in the region. This expansive network is primarily cross-country focused, but don’t let that fool you—there’s something here for everyone. From fast, flowy descents to rocky tech and punchy climbs, the variety is impressive. Navigating the web of trails can be a challenge, so using a guide or the Trailforks app is highly recommended. A few local favourites include:
- Sofa King – a playful intermediate descent with a great mix of natural features
- Organ Donor – Flowy and fun with a few spicy sections and jumps
- Torpedo Run – a true classic that lives up to its name

Jordie Lunn Bike Park – Langford’s Premier Playground
A short drive from downtown, Jordie Lunn Bike Park is a purpose-built, publicly accessible bike park designed to honour Langford’s freeride icon, Jordie Lunn. This world-class destination features:
- A paved Velosolutions pump track
- Dirt jump lines ranging from beginner to pro
- A dedicated skills zone
- A growing network of machine-built flow and technical hand-built trails
If you're warming up, start with Wild Cat—a super fun blue trail with great rhythm. Feeling dialled? Move on to Berm Reynolds for added speed and spice. And if tech and views are calling your name, don’t miss On The Rocks—a challenging hand-built trail with stunning ridge-top vistas. The park’s compact layout and efficient climbs make it easy to get in lap after lap. Post-ride, refuel at Rhino Coffee beside the pump track or get your bike tuned at Broad Street Cycles, which also offers rentals.
